How One Email Changed My Path: Rejection or Realization?

In my last blog, I shared how I applied for a software developer intern role at Google with a referral from an employee.

Today, I got an email from Google, and my application was REJECTED. Surprisingly, I wasn't sad because I had a feeling it might happen, even though I was diligently preparing for the interview.

I believe in a higher power that gives us the right reality checks and guides us toward the future.

I mentioned that this opportunity came suddenly. While I was preparing for DSA and programming, it wasn't at Google's level. However, these past few days showed me my potential. I learned tough topics like binary search and recursion easily.

Now, I'm more excited and confident about the future. Next time I take an exam, I'll ensure there's no doubt about my skills. I'll be ready and perform well without any worries.

Even though I don't know what field I'll be in later, I really like cloud computing and DevOps. I have even chosen it as my specialization along with my B.Tech computer science engineering degree. i have decided to work on that part also I'll be sharing about it in the next blog.

I am a 4th-year BTech student in Computer Science and Engineering, specializing in Cloud Computing and Blockchain. I have strong skills in C++ and Java, with a solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming concepts. My technical training in Java and DSA at college, combined with my experience as a full-stack web developer, has equipped me with practical skills in building and deploying web applications. I have also completed a 6-month internship in full-stack development, where I gained hands-on experience in creating robust and scalable solutions.
