R#4: About Trying and Repetition

I have been thinking, if playing chess help me to focus, or strengthen memory, or would that help me to think more critically?

Think about the way to improve

trying to figure out a numerous way to improve the game, and possibly how I could play chess game. To think in the pessimistic one, playing chess, can be a zero sum game. exhausted my time on a game, and potentially exhausting my opponent in a game. The long it is, the more expensive it can be. At the end, possibly hasn't added much value to the world. To challenge that thought, finding the right people and playing at the right timing, creating bonds, and good memory, at least both engaged in some useful activities, strengthening focus, and stop from wasting it at something such as random browsing social media? or wandering in the street... or at least making it a time well spent on the chess game.

subscription to lesson?

I've been thinking, does it help? currently I haven't committed to any subscription.

join a club?

yes. Looking for a club. maybe a virtual chess club on Discord, or chess.com or maybe internet one, around the clock. Barely having enough time or commitment to see a physical one, and.. seemingly doesn't have any active one locally.

just playing more puzzle

yes. thinking this is just what I'm going to do. Might try out more chess puzzle, including those from the lichess.org. I might limit my time, and test out how many moves I could visualise, people calling that visuospatial strength, to imagine the positions, and moves on the board, I rather play more puzzle than playing a real chess game then; taking each scenario as a puzzle, essential something to solve, and hoping that I'm getting the most optimal answer.

play more games and games

nope.. echo to the last statement, I think I shall play more puzzle than real games. unless that's some competition .

reading from books

yes. going to read book perhaps, in my next pastime, to learn some games, and trying to understand the thinking process from grandmasters, and some niche thinking process, situational thinking method.

train the subtle skills

end games, or how to do those with little pieces, the very situational one, I guess I shall leave out those at the moment, most probably hardly facing them
