From working on a car sales website in the bustling world of e-commerce to analyzing data in the intricate systems of banking, my journey has been nothing short of diverse and enriching. Why Geospatial? Why Now?

Technology that has a direct, positive impact on people's lives fascinates me. After my experience in e-commerce and banking, I realized I wanted to make a more meaningful difference in the world. The turning point came during my Outreachy internship with the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (HOT), where I learned how technology could transform crisis response and community resilience. Hearing from users of the Field Mapping Tasking Manager (FMTM) about how it automates their tasks and witnessing its real-life impact ignited a passion for using geospatial tools to aid humanitarian efforts, making the transition not just a career choice but a mission.
