"I am unintentionally wasting too much time due to YouTube's algorithm!

I felt so frustrated with the wasted time that I tried to stop using the YouTube app by either pausing or deleting it. However, whenever I got bored, I would reinstall it and watch it again... I even found myself logging in and watching YouTube through the browser.

As this vicious cycle continued, I was on the verge of giving up. Then, by chance, I discovered a setting that completely killed my interest in YouTube content. After making this change, I really felt my interest in YouTube rapidly decline. In simple terms, YouTube became boring for me.

If you look at the screen below, you'll understand why. Without recommendations, it naturally becomes less interesting!"

your watch history off!

If you also want to overcome your addiction to YouTube like I did, I highly recommend trying the following settings.

  1. Delete watch history

    • Sign in to your Google Account.
    • Go to myactivity.google.com.
    • Click YouTube History.
    • Click Manage history.
    • Click DELETE to choose a timeframe for the videos you’d like to delete.
    • If you visit the History tab directly from YouTube, you may also see this option presented as the ability to clear your watch history.
  2. Turn off watch history

    • Sign in to your Google Account.
    • Go to myactivity.google.com.
    • Click YouTube History.
    • Click Turn off.
