Hello, World!
For a while, I stopped writing altogether. Life got busy, and between the daily grind of work and other responsibilities, writing felt like just another task on an already overwhelming to-do pile. It was easier to push it aside and focus on the moment's demands. On top of that, technology was evolving so rapidly that by the time I had an idea, it seemed outdated. I felt I had nothing new to add to the conversation, so I stayed silent.
But as I watched the world change, especially with the rise of LLMs, I realized that staying silent wasn’t an option. AI's impact on our lives is too significant to ignore, and it’s not just about the tech itself—it’s about what we do with it. The more I thought about it, the more I felt the need to engage, share my thoughts, and be part of the conversation.
In a world where we increasingly seek to replace human roles with AI, we must discuss the implications of our actions. We need to explore AI's place and why we’re so eager to automate everything, often at the expense of human involvement. The big question is: what happens when everything is automated, and salaries drop so low that people can’t afford the very services our AIs provide?
As technology advances, the challenge isn’t just about keeping up with the latest developments; it’s about understanding how to live with AI, not despite it. We need to figure out how to integrate AI into our world in a way that enhances our lives without diminishing our humanity. This is the conversation I want to have here.
I created this space to discuss these crucial issues and share code, knowledge, and insights that can help us navigate this evolving landscape together. As a data scientist, AI engineer, and former journalist, I feel responsible for contributing to this dialogue. Our choices will shape the future of technology and society, and we must approach these decisions thoughtfully.
