Feeling a Shift
Today we got the news that the third migration of the varsity is on the 19th. At least I got some updates. I also heard that classes start on September 1. It is good to know that. We have been spending holidays like this for several months. We are exhausted.
Today, we had an invitation at my mother's grandmother's house. So, I visited there with my mother, younger brother, maternal grandmother, aunts and a cousin. My youngest aunt's husband, Soful uncle, drove us. Not in a car, as we are all actually poor. He has a small vehicle which is called an auto.
At one point, Soful uncle took me for tea at a tea stall. His 6-year-old daughter Lamia was also there. She had a band of pink flowers on her head which I gifted her this morning. I never gave her anything before.
Soful uncle told me not to be worried about my new life at university. He said,
"If you run, the road never ends."
We were traveling by village road. The thought of leaving home and starting a new chapter of life was exhilarating. I was watching the trees pass by. The wind felt so soothing. Listening to a happy song, all of them made that moment seize.
