Week 12

Introduction

I am Khushal Agrawal (skippr), a Google Summer Of Code contributor and developer at Inkscape. This blog summarises my progress during the twelfth week of Google Summer Of Code 2024.

This week's activity

This week was spent mostly on making changes on my Merge Requests suggested by reviewers and my mentor. I also wrote the report for my final submission of my project. I had a meeting with Vaibhav discussing the implementation of the final feature in Node Tool. The rest of the week was spent mostly on reading the relevant code and working on ideas for implementation of the last feature of my proposal.

Conclusion and Future Scope

As the twelfth week of GSoC '24 draws to a close, it's important to recognize that this isn't the end of a journey but rather the beginning of a much longer journey of Open Source Contribution and learning. The skills I developed and lessons I learned from challenges faced both in coding and communication were of utmost value and I am extremely grateful for them. I would like to share my heartfelt gratitude to the Inkscape community for their unwavering support, guidance, collaboration. They were always helpful even when I made beginner mistakes. I will continue to contribute to Inkscape, I will complete the last feature of my proposal, I also plan on adding more features and solving bugs continuously. Looking forward, there's much more to explore, learn, and contribute, and I eagerly anticipate remaining actively engaged with the community in the days that lie ahead.
