A boy who always wanted more than he had.
Hello, my name is... difficult to pronounce.
It's Przemek - pronounced P-sh-ee-meck,
but to make it easier you can listen to a Google Translator's take on my name.
For some reason it translates my name to "a slog" in English.
I did not know that word, so I googled it:
I found it quite funny because that's exactly what I wanted to blog about.
Well, not the hit (someone or something) part, but the hard, difficult, tiring work.
At the time this post is published I'm 23 and the last several years I spent "slogging" if I can say so myself. During that time there was a career goal I wanted to achieve and I did, a few months ago. During this pursuit I often imagined how wonderfully liberating it would be to finally reach the end, the moment when the shackles come undone and I get where I want to be.
Well, that moment came and passed and I found myself wanting more.
I have a background (roughly 3 years) in IT infrastructure with the focus on Unified Communication and Collaboration.
A Bc.S. in Data Communication as well.
These two things, my dear reader, were some of the main contributors to the toil I was describing in the paragraph above, but I enjoyed the process and I'm proud of being able to juggle a full-time job, getting a demanding degree and other aspects of our daily struggle without dropping the ball (looking back I have no idea how I was able to do that, I'd guess it's just how resilient we as people can get when we put our minds to something).
And without further digression here's the main point - I decided to become a Cloud Engineer, a demanding but exciting goal to undertake. There were several reasons, but I already made this post too long, maybe I'll write about them in a future one.
I decided to document my trials and tribulations, mainly as a journal for myself and consolidating my knowledge, but maybe, just maybe there is a sliver of a chance it will become of use to someone with a similar objective.
Cheers and good luck to me.
