About data

This week I experienced a 30% decrease in downloads ๐Ÿฅฒ. However, one thing that excites me is that I got more regional downloads.

There were less than 100 downloads, but I'm very happy because I have tried many ways to get more area downloads. I have tried ASO, posted my product on Reddit, and conducted A/B tests. I'm so glad these methods have taken effect.

About dev

I spent a large amount of time to restructuring LaxtTime. I add more entities and relationships in Core Data to implement more structured effect.

At first, I was very anxious about doing this because because it was my first time performing such a large-scale refactoring, and I had nobody to help me. I was very worried about losing user data due to my mistakes.

However, as the user base grows, I have to do it because if I delay further, it might cause even worse effects.

I haven't added iCloud support yet, also because the backend data structure refactoring isn't complete. I'm very concerned about user data security, and I really want to add iCloud support soon, so I'm determined to finish this task.

My new App โ€”โ€” OneThing

Additionally, I spent some time developing my new app called OneThing.

It's a very simple reminder app. When you write something in the app, the content appears in a widget, which you can see on both the lock screen and home screen. I developed it mainly to address my procrastination problem. I often forget to return items on time, causing them to exceed the return period. I hope to use OneThing to constantly remind me of certain tasks, helping me to procrastinate less.

Another reason for developing this app is that I wanted to learn about iCloud integration in a small project. I thought this would provide a better learning experience. So far, everything has been going smoothly without any significant issues.

A new week is about to begin. I hope I can quickly complete the restructuring of LaxtTime and add iCloud synchronization. This way, I'll have the energy to work on more products without worrying about LaxtTime's data issues anymore.
