Lucid Motors has officially announced that its upcoming Gravity SUV will feature a built-in Tesla charging port, known as the North American Charging Standard (NACS). This integration is significant because it allows Lucid's customers to tap into Tesla's vast and highly reliable Supercharger network, which is regarded as one of the best in the world for electric vehicles.

This makes the Gravity SUV one of the few non-Tesla EVs to include NACS without requiring an adapter, marking a shift in how automakers are increasingly collaborating on EV infrastructure. Lucid’s CEO, Peter Rawlinson, emphasized that the Gravity SUV will rival competitors like the Tesla Model Y by delivering impressive range with a smaller, more efficient battery. Production is expected to begin by 2025, and this move is seen as a way to attract new buyers, especially as Lucid continues to expand its lineup and refine its electric technology.

This step showcases the broader industry trend where EV manufacturers are aligning with Tesla’s charging ecosystem to meet the growing demand for efficient and accessible EV charging solutions.
