Highlights from the GDG Lucknow Devshop in Collaboration with Capx AI

I recently had the opportunity to attend a fantastic GDG Lucknow Meetup in collaboration with CAPX AI, and it turned out to be an incredibly insightful and hands-on experience. This event provided a platform to dive deeper into Large Language Models (LLMs) and introduced powerful tools like Gemini Flash, Serper API, and CoinGecko to create AI agents.

Event Highlights

The session began with a brief introduction to LLMs (Large Language Models), covering how they are built, trained, and their potential use cases. For those unfamiliar, LLMs are the backbone of many modern AI applications, such as chatbots, virtual assistants, and intelligent search systems. Understanding how they work provided a solid foundation for the practical hands-on session that followed.

Hands-on Session with Adarsh Shirawalmat

The highlight of the event was the second part, where Adarsh Shirawalmat, Lead AI Researcher at CAPX AI, conducted an engaging hands-on workshop. This session focused on building an AI agent using tools like:

  • Gemini Flash

  • Serper API

  • CoinGecko

By combining these tools, we were able to create an AI agent capable of fetching real-time data and interacting with the user in a dynamic way. The use of the Serper API for real-time data fetching, along with Gemini Flash for faster AI model responses, truly opened my eyes to the potential of these tools in AI development.

My Takeaways

I found this event to be particularly valuable as I recently came up with the idea of adding Serper API to my local LLaMA3 model to create an intelligent AI agent. Attending this event reinforced my understanding and gave me the tools and insights needed to further develop my project. The combination of real-time data with AI-generated responses has the potential to create AI applications that are both insightful and up-to-date.

A special thanks to Abhishek Sahu Sir for organizing this event and making it such an enriching experience. His dedication to fostering a learning environment for aspiring developers like me made all the difference.

Want to Build Your Own AI Agent?

If you're interested in building an AI agent like the one we learned about at the event, check out the documentation here: Capx AI Agent Docs. This guide will walk you through the steps of creating your own AI agent using Gemini Flash, Serper API, and CoinGecko.

Conclusion

Attending the GDG Lucknow Meetup in collaboration with CAPX AI was an eye-opener. The hands-on session led by Adarsh Shirawalmat gave me practical skills in building AI-driven applications, while also introducing me to new APIs and tools. I’m excited to continue working on AI-based projects and applying what I’ve learned at this event.

If you're interested in AI, LLMs, or simply want to stay ahead in the ever-evolving world of tech, I highly recommend attending similar meetups and workshops. There's always something new to learn, and the hands-on experience is invaluable.
