Types of SharePoint sites

There are two types of SharePoint sites:
Team sites
Communication sites
While creating a SharePoint site we can select if we want to build a communication site or a team site depending upon our usage. Each of these sites have prebuilt templates which contain pages, web parts, and pre loaded content to use.
Team site
A SharePoint Team site is used to share and collaborate information among the team members of the company. You can work on the projects together and the information can be shared from anywhere and on any device.
Communication site
A SharePoint communication site is used to broadcast or share the news, reports, status, and updates. One should create a communication site if he wants to reach to the broader audience. These types of sites helps engage big audience with whom we can share the announcements or events.
These are not useful to communicate between small teams in organization.
