Creating My First SaaS in One Week: Here's How
I love to see people creating useful tools and making money on the internet, but I never had any epiphany I could work on.
I recently watched a YouTube video by Marc Lou about a tool called POOPUP that he made. It is a tool that helps generate leads by showing users relevant wake-up calls. I found it very cool but could be more useful if it had more customization options so I decided to build my version of POOPUP.
And Here I am sharing my journey of building a saas in just one week (or less).
I used Next.js with TypeScript, MongoDB, and DaisyUI for this project to create a fully customizable FOMO pop-up tool. The hardest part? Embedding it universally—but I nailed it with vanilla JavaScript.
Embedding was tricky I couldn't find a way with React so I used vanilla js (and JQuery) instead.
The result? Fomofy—a customizable FOMO pop-up tool for websites to boost conversions by creating urgency and engagement. In just one week, I went from concept to launch, and I’m excited to see how it helps others!
Let me know what you think: Fomofy
