Week 7: My First Introduction to Python

Exhausted. Overwhelmed. Thrilled. Nervous. Apprehensive.

These are the emotions I was juggling at the beginning of week 7. But as I wrap up this week, those intense feelings have settled into something more manageable. I find myself feeling more prepared now than I did when I first tackled React, which is a comforting thought. My understanding of React has grown significantly, and it gives me confidence that I’ll make similar strides with Python.

This time around, I’ve been diligent with my quizzes and have noticed a marked improvement in my scores compared to the last phase. It’s reassuring to see that the basic concepts of Python are starting to click. Python doesn’t seem as daunting as React did initially, and that’s a huge relief.

Venturing into the world of backend development has been eye-opening. It’s starting to make me ask myself, “What kind of developer do I want to be?” I don’t have a definitive answer yet, but at least I’m beginning to explore that question.

Looking ahead, next week is packed with labs, a coding challenge, and the start of a new project, all while gearing up for the Phase 3 assessment. It also marks the halfway point of the program! I’m almost halfway through, and if I’ve made it this far, I’m confident I can tackle the rest.

Thanks for joining me on this journey! Here’s to continuing to push forward and embrace the challenges. <3

xoxo,

Bre
