Defining the Foodie Agritech MVP using the MoSCoW prioritization Framework.
Foodie Agritech is a product designed to use the IOT to connect the hardware and software in order to maximize farm produce. It is also developed to connect farmers with buyers seamlessly and to serve as means of informing farmers about agricultural loans, grants and incentives. Sequel to the MoSCow prioritization framework used yesterday, I am going to be rating Foodie Agritech features base on Must- Have, Should-Have, Could-Have and Won’t-Have.
1. Must-Have (M); These are critical features needed for the app to function at its most basic level they are as follows:
IoT Integration: Real-time monitoring of soil and crop health through connected sensors.
Data Dashboard: Display key metrics such as moisture levels, temperature, and crop growth stages.
Farm Inputs Recommendations: Provide insights on fertilizers, pesticides, and water usage based on sensor data.
User Registration & Authentication: For farmers and agribusiness owners to log in and create accounts.
Basic Support for Farmers: Help center or FAQ for troubleshooting tech issues.
Farmer-to-Buyer Connection: A simple marketplace or listing platform where buyers can discover those Farmers that has the farm produce they need at the moment.
Should-Have (S) ; These are important but not critical in the MVP launch. These features could be included in future iterations if needed, they are:
Market Connection: Basic platform for farmers to connect with local markets.
Information Space for Loans, Grants, and Incentives: A dedicated section where farmers can access updated financial support information from the Government entities or private bodies.
Alerts & Notifications: Immediate alerts for critical conditions like extreme weather.
Farm Community Forum: Allowing farmers to share experiences or advice.
3. Could-Have (C) ; These are Nice-to-have features that could be included depending on time and budget. However, a constraint budget and limited time frame nay hinder these features to be incorporated in to Foodie Agritech they are:
Automated Weather Integration: Integration with weather APIs to anticipate irrigation needs.
Advanced Analytics and Forecasting: Machine learning models to predict future yields or issues.
4. Won’t Have (W); These are features you’ll save for a future version. They wilĺ be incorporated in the long run but they are not in any way urgent they are as follows;
International Market Access: Facilitating the sale of goods across borders.
Blockchain for Supply Chain Tracking: Too complex for an MVP but could be beneficial later.
