The Philosophy of Luck
There's an empty room full of infinite boxes , each contains 5-1000$ inside. The simple rule anyone would use here would be to open every box, the more box you open the higher the probability of getting more money. That's how most things in life can be done. keep reading….
The idea is to just get a good foundation and start speed running on the chances, The philosophy of luck is availing more chances, rather than waiting for a random luck.
As you progress through the chances, your neurons would be hitting hard to recognize patterns, improving your base methodology to optimize and speed up your process of availing chances.
I play a game, where they had a lucky spin bar, you can spin the wheel for 20 tickets to get a hero. Each time the reward is randomized. Luckily I had over 2700 tickets. After consistently hitting up the wheel , I realized after every 2500 spend you get a hero, would I have come this far if I had just given up thinking it would be random and I'd never win.
I have a friend who freelances around web designing services, he made a basic portfolio and started reaching out to people and eventually he started to lend projects as he was consistent. It’s a very common saying, if you were to approach 100 people for sales, there’s no way you won’t lend your first client. You don't have to get into analysis paralysis, but your mindset should be wrapped around getting better and efficient, by doing more of the actual job, remember your strategies will improve as you keep doing i rather than just looking up for shortcuts.
I also fancy myself with bug bounty(which is getting paid for finding security bugs). Most of us always get plagued by imposter syndrome , while the one who got succeed just applied a simple rule, learning 1-2 vulnerabilities and speed running them on every program they come across, which have actually worked for them.
This strategy has some drawbacks thou, when I talk about availing the chances, it should be in a specific way, if you're going to scatter it around you'd loose it. You have to Stick to a domain for at least 3-6 months, before you start availing those lucky chances. if you’re channeling your effort into several things, hoping that by doing multiple things the chance of getting lucky would increase than it’s never likely to happen. An example I would like to quote here is a pretty common occurring one, you would often see people trying to do several things for their financial well being, you’re trying to do crypto trading, you’re also trying to get into web development, you’re also trying to do bunch of things here and there, thinking by doing multiple things you would most likely to get that desired chance. In reality, all of this would divide your focus, on top of it you’ll get faster burn outs and eventually get stuck in a loop of hoarding things one after another.
