🌎 Overview

AI-driven workloads, such as training and inference, are becoming more resource-intensive as industry requirements and demand grow. At Lilypad, we address this challenge by connecting unused GPU resources with those requiring compute power. We do this in a democratic and democratized way by making resources available transparently and openly.

A significant aspect of Lilypad's expansion has been the Incentivized Testnet, also known as "IncentiveNet." This program serves as both a testing ground for the network's economic structure and a means to stress-test its architecture. So far, it has been successful, attracting over 1,000 nodes and demonstrating the network’s potential in real-world conditions.

For those eager to track the network's growth, the Lilypad Network Resource Provider Leaderboard offers a comprehensive view. This dashboard not only showcases the current GPU capacity across the network but also highlights the Lilybit_ rewards earned by individual addresses. ⚒️ Engineering Update

The engineering team primarily focused energy on pushing upgrades to the IncentiveNet in addition to developing and testing the architecture for Lilypad Mainnet. Mainnet testing included defining the scope for Lilypad products built on top of the network including the self-service (SaaS) compute platform.

The cadence of Lilypad releases has been changed to once every two weeks to give both our team and the community time to update to the latest version and test. Some special releases will be done on a case by case basis. The next release is scheduled for Monday September/30/24.

A huge thank you to our open source community! To date, we have merged 8 PRs across the Lilypad main, docs, tools, and awesome-Lilypad repos. Our team has been energized by the number and quality of open source contributions to date!

The team continues to benchmark GPU jobs running on the network. With the increased scale, comes the increased load on the Lilypad core infrastructure as well as matching engine. Our team is committed to providing top level performance for end users and are hard at work ensuring the network can handle the increased activity.

Resource Providers: update to the latest version! - v2.6.0 Berners-Lee

Lilypad Resource Providers (RPs) will need to update to the latest release, Lilypad v2.6.0 Berners-Lee update! In this latest version, our team pushed updates to improve RP performance when running PoWs. Working with the Lilypad Ambassadors to address the issues, we provided two options to deal with the RPC rate limiting problem causing PoW submission failures. In Lilypad v2.6.0, we've added a default feature that utilizes a public list of RPC endpoints for transacting data on Arbitrum Sepolia. Our team's Arbitrum Sepolia RPC endpoint will now serve as a backup option if the primary, public endpoints are unavailable.

In addition to the public RPC “round robin”, we expect RPs to use a personal Arbitrum RPC for optimal performance. Here's a guide for RPs to run a personal RPC endpoint!. As more RPs run a RPC, the Lilypad network will have increased fault tolerance and decentralization!

Lilybit_ Rewards dashboard

Our team has released a Grafana dashboard to help RPs view total Lilybit_ rewards earned per day (with historical data). The goal of this tool is to bring additional transparency to the Lilybit_ rewards IncentiveNet program. The Lilybit_ Leaderboard is still the main location for RPs to track rewards points. The Leaderboard fix for new RPs coming online is in progress. We’ll keep the community updated!

• Navigate to the Lilybit_ Rewards Dashboard.

• In the top right of the dashboard, input a RP wallet address in the “address” search bar.

• The daily total points earnings for the wallet address will appear in the dashboard.

Lilypad Twitter Spaces - ‘Democratizing Access to AI Compute’

The Lilypad team will be hosting an X spaces every week to connect with the community. This new weekly event was a resounding success!

🔮 What's Next?

The team continues to push upgrades to the IncentiveNet in order to scale PoWs and GPU jobs running on the network. We leverage internal telemetry, on-chain info, and feedback from the community to ensure these updates are effective and do not cause negative effects.

More details on the new slashing mechanism will be released next week! In addition, our team will release an open source contribution dashboard for individuals contributing to the Lilypad Github. Stay tuned!
