How to Build Your AI App: A Comprehensive Startup Simulator Course

Hi everyone!

Months back, I initially thought of doing a generic course to teach AI to non-technical people. I validated my idea and spoke to a few friends and previous colleagues. Based on my observation, people still have qualms on using AI. For the ordinary people I talked to, they don't see the usefulness of AI yet. I am also not able to convince them on how they can use it for their daily life or work. Some people simply don't have the time to try it out. So in short, I dropped the idea...

Motivation

On the brighter side, I have spoken to a some people in my discovery calls and realise that they are asking for ideas on how to build an app, learn about the process and technical side of things. They have entrepreneurial mindsets and they are looking to see how to earn from developing products, not necessarily AI apps.

So now I am drafting a course titled "How to Build Your AI App: A Comprehensive Startup Simulator Course". Basically, in this course, I'll be sharing what I learned for a few months in my indie hacking journey and of course my past experiences.

Target Audience

I aim to make the course useful for my target audience:

• Developers who want to build stuff on their own or with a small team

• Non-technical / business people who wants to understand the technical side of building an app

• Students who are interested in building their own app for their startup idea

The course will have two(2) parts

1. Typical I talk, you listen - the boring part

2. Role Playing simulations (optional - only for those interested in having fun!) To apply what they learned, participants group into small teams and will take on roles to ideate/conceptualise an AI product and build a prototype using AI tools. The important part is to apply the concepts we learned during the course.

I also want to ask. Do you think people will be interested in part 2 - the simulation part?

Course Delivery

The course will be totally online so anyone from anywhere in the world can participate. I have a great tool to use for this type of collaboration which I can't share right now since it can be my competitive advantage.

The course is also a great networking opportunity since I plan to attract technical and non-technical people.
