Introduction
Hey there! 👋
I’m Vuyelwa Mavuma, known as “Mavooma” on my social platforms, and welcome to my space on Hashnode. I’ve decided to start this blog to document my thoughts, share knowledge, and hopefully contribute to the tech community that has helped me grow so much. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned expert, I hope you find something useful here!

Who Am I?
I’m a Front-end Developer with a passion for web development, AI, and UI/UX design. My tech journey started this year (2024) and I was at a point in my life where I missed being in the creative space but also didn’t want human interaction because that had become overwhelming when I still did photography. I remember scrolling through TikTok and I saw a video about the SheCodes Foundation, I didn’t pay much attention to it because I genuinely thought it only applied to ladies in the US. I then saw a video from a fellow sis @tebooo who also spoke about SheCodes Foundation, she is South African, and I was like “Hold up, wait a minute, this is exactly what I need”. I remember only asking her one question, which was “Do you still have access to the classes after you complete your certification?” and she said “yes” and I ran with it. One thing about me, I will do my research, I spent hours on TikTok and on the net finding out about this SheCodes Foundation, and by the next morning, I had signed up for their 1-hour class and since then, it has been an exciting adventure of learning, building, and collaborating with amazing people.

Why I Started This Blog
There are three main reasons I started this blog:

  1. To Document My Learning: I believe writing things down helps solidify what we learn. Here, I’ll be sharing my experiences, lessons, and challenges from various projects.

  2. To Share Knowledge: The tech world is huge, and there’s always something new to discover. I want to contribute back to the community that has given me so much by sharing tutorials, insights, and tips.

  3. To Connect with You: Tech is about collaboration. I’m excited to connect with like-minded individuals, get feedback, and discuss ideas. Let’s learn together!

What You Can Expect
Here are some of the topics I’ll be covering:

  • Tech Tutorials: From beginner guides to more advanced topics on HTML, CSS, Javascript, API, Bootstrap, and React.

  • Project Walkthroughs: I love building things! I’ll share the projects I’m working on and explain the thought process behind them.

  • Career in Tech: Tips and advice on navigating the tech industry, finding the right opportunities, and growing professionally.

  • Personal Reflections: Every now and then, I’ll share personal reflections about my journey, the struggles, and the wins.

Let’s Stay Connected
I’d love to hear from you! Feel free to drop a comment, connect with me on TikTok, Linkedin and Instagram, or just follow along as I share my journey. This blog is as much for you as it is for me, so let me know what topics you’re interested in, and I’ll do my best to write about them.

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you enjoy reading as much as I enjoy writing. Let’s build something great together!
