LeBron and Bronny James Make NBA History
LeBron James and his son, Bronny James, have made NBA history by becoming the first father-son duo to play together on the same team during a game. This historic moment occurred during a pre-season match between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Phoenix Suns, where Bronny entered the game in the second quarter on his 20th birthday.
The match ended in a 118-114 defeat for the Lakers, but the significance of the moment was not lost on LeBron, who expressed his awe on social media, saying, "Wow, that was surreal." He described the experience as feeling like something out of "The Matrix" and cherished the opportunity to share the court with his son.
In the game, LeBron scored 19 points, along with four assists and five rebounds, while Bronny went scoreless in his 13 minutes on the court, recording two rebounds and four turnovers. Bronny joined the Lakers as a second-round draft pick from the University of Southern California in June.
LeBron, 39, is entering his 22nd season in the NBA and is the league's all-time leading scorer. He signed a new two-year deal with the Lakers following Bronny's arrival, with the 2024-25 NBA season set to begin on October 22.
