Embarking on my Software Engineering and Life Journey !

Hi, I’m Ghassen, a second-year Software Engineering student (currently bac+4) at ESIEE Paris. My life revolves around learning software development, exploring entrepreneurship, practicing karate, volunteering, and mentoring others. Alongside my university studies, I’m also giving private lessons to middle and high school students, helping them tackle subjects like mathematics and programming.

Why am I starting this blog? I want to document my journey and growth as I navigate the challenges of becoming a software engineer, balancing multiple passions and responsibilities. I’m constantly learning new skills in coding, problem-solving, and leadership, and I believe that sharing these experiences will not only help me reflect but also provide value to others on similar paths.

One of the things that excites me most is the entrepreneurial adventure I’m embarking on with my startup project, Truck&Go. It’s a platform for renting trucks between individuals, and it’s been an incredible learning experience from the early stages of ideation to building the business plan and pitching the concept to potential partners. Entrepreneurship is a journey filled with challenges, but the opportunities for growth are limitless, and I can’t wait to share more about this project as it evolves.

Outside of software and entrepreneurship, karate has been a key part of my life since childhood. After taking a break, I’ve returned to practicing Shotokan karate at the Lagny-sur-Marne karate club. Karate has taught me discipline, perseverance, and focus qualities that are essential not only in martial arts but in all aspects of life, including my studies and professional pursuits.

Volunteering has also played a significant role in shaping who I am. I’ve had the privilege of working with organizations like Proxité, where I mentor younger students and help guide them through their academic journeys. Giving back to the community is something I’m deeply passionate about, and I’m always looking for new ways to contribute and support others.

Through this blog, I’ll be sharing insights into the projects I’m working on, the lessons I’m learning, and the experiences I’m gaining from both personal and professional perspectives. Whether it's a coding breakthrough, an entrepreneurial milestone, or a challenge I’m facing, I want to bring you along for the ride.

With my varied background and unique path, I hope to provide a different perspective on what it means to be a student, entrepreneur, athlete, and mentor. I believe that by sharing these experiences, I can connect with others who are on similar journeys or inspire those who are just starting out. My story may not be conventional, but I’m sure it will spark plenty of interesting conversations.
