Hermes by @captainralph42_ and just.1_
Hermes is a dApp built on Alephium Blockchain that allows users to generate and send AI-generated NFTs to friends. For the hackathon, Hermes developed two themes—love and humor—where users can create fun, personalized NFTs featuring AI-generated images and messages. With just a few clicks, these creations can be tokenized and sent directly to the recipient’s wallet.
Key features include:
AI-Generated Content: Users can generate unique images with love messages or humorous punchlines.
NFT Creation and Transfer: The dApp allows seamless tokenization and transfer of these personalized NFTs.
Easy On-Chain Transactions: Hermes makes it simple to familiarize users with Alephium wallets and on-chain transactions.
Fun and Lighthearted: Aligned with the hackathon's theme, "Why so serious?", the dApp adds a playful touch to blockchain interactions.
Hermes plans to continue development after the hackathon, with future features that will bring real-world utility to the platform.

Destiny Protocol by shishirpai , nkz and Zahnentferner from StabilityNexus and PhoenixErgo
Destiny Protocol by Phoenix Destiny is a novel prediction market platform built on Alephium, using dual vaults with minting and burning fees instead of traditional order books. The protocol allows users to bet on whether the price of an asset pair (e.g., ALPH/USD, BTC/USD, ETH/USD) will be above or below a target price after a specified deadline.
Key features include:
Prediction Mechanism: Users purchase "bull" or "bear" tokens based on whether they believe the asset price will rise or fall. At the deadline, the winning side (bulls or bears) takes the opposing side's funds.
Minting/Burning Fees: Users can burn their shares before the deadline, but incur a fee that increases as the deadline approaches, which benefits the opposing side.
Versatility: While currently focused on asset price prediction, the protocol can be expanded to predict other events, such as elections, depending on available oracles.
The project has a fully functional MVP, with contracts, an indexer, and a frontend. It is designed to be extendable, with plans for further development after the hackathon.

Wizards and Wands by intrepid5095
Wizards and Wands is an innovative project on the Alephium blockchain that explores unique features such as gasless transactions and hardware wallet creation. The project introduces a "wizard mode" where sponsors cover transaction gas fees for users, making the blockchain experience more seamless.
Key features include:
Gasless Transactions: Contract deployers fund gas for multiple transactions, allowing users to perform actions without paying gas fees.
Oracle Integration: The oracle fetches Alephium's price and changes a secret message in the contract depending on whether the price is even or odd (e.g., "ALL ABOARD" for odd, "PLATFORM IS READY" for even).
Hardware Wallet Creation: Demonstrates the potential to use NFC passport scans as a hardware wallet, generating a private/public key pair using the Alephium SDK, instead of relying on traditional mnemonics.
This project highlights creative possibilities for user-friendly blockchain interactions and aims to enhance adoption by exploring novel wallet creation methods.
