7 Days of Web3 and AI: My Journey with HackQuest Co-Learning Camp 10
It’s been an incredible first week at the HackQuest Co-Learning Camp 10! Each day was packed with new insights, practical knowledge, and interactions with the amazing team and fellow participants. Here’s a quick rundown of my learning journey over these first 7 days:
Day 1: Diving into Web3 Basics
The journey kicked off with an introduction to Web3 and its roots. I explored how Web3 is different from Web2, putting more control back into the hands of users. This shift towards decentralization felt really impactful, and I was fascinated by concepts like DeFi (Decentralized Finance) and the potential of blockchain technology to make secure, transparent systems the new standard. It was a great start!
Day 2: Building on Blockchain Knowledge
Day 2 was all about diving deeper into the practical side of Web3. I explored the world of digital signatures, hashes, and the underlying security systems that make blockchain unique. Seeing how blockchain is transforming financial systems, and learning about the added security measures it provides, made the day both challenging and rewarding.
Day 3: Wrapping Up Web3 Basics and Starting Gaia Development
On Day 3, I wrapped up the Web3 basics, going over security practices to protect wallets and assets. This was a good chance to revisit some important points on staying safe in the digital world, especially since the decentralized space opens up new types of risks. Then, I stepped into the Gaia Developer track, learning about the evolution of AI, machine learning, and the foundational concepts behind them.
Day 4: Understanding AI Layers
The learning continued with a deep dive into neural networks, large language models (LLMs), and the different types of learning—supervised and unsupervised. This was like peeling back the layers of AI to understand how models are trained and how they learn from data. Each concept brought new perspective on how AI operates and improves over time.
Day 5: Exploring the Basics of AI Agents and Prompt Engineering
By Day 5, I was diving into the world of AI agents. These agents are the interactive part of AI systems, capable of responding and adapting to environments. I also explored prompt engineering, which turns out to be a huge part of getting effective responses from AI. The day wrapped up with the basics of Gaia Fundamentals, where I learned about the decentralized AI ecosystem and its potential.
Day 6: Gaia Architecture Deep Dive
This day was all about Gaia’s structure. I learned about Gaia nodes, domains, and protocols—the building blocks that make Gaia’s decentralized AI ecosystem work. Each element plays a unique role in ensuring secure and seamless communication. Diving into the architecture was like getting the roadmap of Gaia’s functionality, making me more excited to see how all these pieces come together.
Day 7: Creating My First Gaia Node
Finally, on Day 7, I set up my own Gaia node! From initializing to configuring, it was all about practical application. Setting up a node really brought the past week’s learning to life. Now I understand more about the technical foundation of decentralized networks and how they’re structured.
This first week has been an incredible mix of theory and hands-on practice. I’ve covered everything from Web3 basics to the architecture and functionality of Gaia and AI systems, and I’m pumped to see what the next week brings.
Thanks for reading, and stay tuned for the next part of my learning journey!
