Today feels special. It's been exactly one year since we launched 12N11, and it's also the 15th anniversary of Bitcoin's whitepaper. Funny how things line up sometimes, isn't it?

When we started on October 31, 2023, we didn't plan it to match Bitcoin's anniversary. But looking back, it feels fitting. Bitcoin changed how we think about money and trust. In our own way, we've been trying to carry that spirit forward within the Zenon Network.

Over the past year, we've faced our share of ups and downs. We stumbled with stability at first, but we learned and got better. We worked hard to keep our systems running smoothly because we know how important that is to you, our community.

But there's something we've been thinking about lately. Right now, when we look at delegation weights—the amount of ZNN people delegate to pillars like ours—it only shows a snapshot in time. It tells us how much is delegated at this very moment. But what about the people who've been with us since day one and maybe just changed their delegation yesterday? Their long-term support doesn't show up anymore, even though they've been a big part of our journey.

We believe that both the amount of ZNN delegated and the length of time it's been delegated matter. It's about recognizing the consistent support, not just the current numbers. So we're thinking about creating a new way to measure this—a simple algorithm that takes into account both weight and time.

Our idea is to build a fair metric that better reflects everyone's contributions. It's not just for us; we hope it can be a starting point for the whole community to build on and improve.

As we celebrate our first anniversary, we're grateful for everyone who's been part of our story. Whether you've been with us from the beginning or joined along the way, thank you. Your support means everything.

Here's to another year of learning, growing, and shaping tomorrow, today.
