Cloud Computing
Hey, Everyone! Welcome back to my blog. 👋 Today, we're going to learn about Cloud Computing, types of cloud computing, advantages, and disadvantages of cloud computing
What is the Cloud?
In real life cloud contain rain, it is also like that but instead of rain drops it contains data. A cloud can be called a collection of servers that are connected to the internet, where we can store and retrieve the data at our convenience.
What is Cloud Computing?
Cloud computing is basically The delivery of computing services over the internet, or ‘the cloud’. It allows the user to access computing services like storage, databases, and software on demand without the need to purchase physical infrastructure. The common cloud service providers are Google Cloud, Amazon web services AWS, Microsoft Azure, etc.
Types of cloud.
Public cloud:
A service provider owns and manages the hardware, software, and infrastructure, and users access it over the internet.
Private cloud:
A single business or organization uses cloud computing resources which can be located on-site or hosted in the cloud.
Hybrid cloud:
It combines the private and public clouds to share data or run the application.
Characteristics of cloud computing
On-demand self-service:-
On the cloud, a consumer can get administration without human intervention user are already able to provision, monitor, and manage computing resources as needed
Broad network access:-
The computing services are often provided over standard networks and heterogeneous devices.
Resource pooling:-
The resources that are present there can be shared across multiple applications and occupants. Multiple clients are provided service from a same physical resource.
Measured services:-
Here you are paying according to the service you are using, so if one month you have enormous traffic on your website and next month it will be average, you will be only charged of the amount of services you used.
Rapid elasticity and scalability:-
Here you can expand and shrink your services pretty fast, so you get an excellent delivery of your requirements.
Easy maintenance:-
These servers are situated in a well-maintained facility so you don’t have to worry about maintaining the infrastructure you just have to pay for service and use it.
Security:-
The data can be stored in multiple servers so even if one data center or server malfunctions you still be able to access your data easily.
Advantages of cloud computing.
The resources are accessible anywhere.
There is no third party involved so it’s an on-demand service.
We don’t need hardware so it reduces the cost of IT and hardware.
It can automatically scale up and down according to users so we only have to pay as per the service we used.
Accessibility is easy so your team can do its work from all around the world and deliver easily.
Disadvantages of cloud computing.
To access the data from the cloud we always need the internet.
Sometimes, there is a lack of support, so we can face problems, and sometimes, we need to choose a provider service carefully.
Different companies provide services, so if you switch to another, their structure might be different, so you need to pick your provider carefully.
Conclusion
The cloud can be a very great asset to your organization’s journey you just need to select the better provider that satisfies your needs and fits in your budget so you can get the best use of it.
