Google Professional Cloud Developer Certification

This last week I started studying for the GCP Professional Cloud Developer certification exam. I’m writing this to take notes on the knowledge I gained during this process.

To give you an overview of my experience with this subject, I’m a certified Associate Cloud Engineer (until 05/06/2024) and was a certified Professional Cloud Developer until 07/24/2024.

Last month, I also finished a partner study trail for the foundational GCP certification, Cloud Digital Leader, at Google Cloud Skill Boost. This is my FIRST tip. Some companies are Google Partners and the Skill Bost can be free for its employees. There you will find Learning Paths for each Google certification.

My SECOND tip is the course I used to take the professional certification on my first attempt 2 years ago, Google Cloud Developer - GCP Professional Certification. The instructor, Ranga Karanam, maintains the course updated and it is right on the knowledge you’ll need to be approved on the exam.
Don’t expect to be fully prepared to work with the cloud after this training, that requires experience you gain working day by day with it. But for sure you must expect to be well prepared to take the exam.

I’ll write about the next tips here after I take them. See ya!
