2 - Monitoring using Log analytics
To monitor Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) effectively using Log Analytics, you can leverage Azure Monitor and integrate it with Log Analytics to collect, analyze, and visualize insights on AVD performance, usage, and health. Here’s a step-by-step guide to set up AVD monitoring with Log Analytics:

Create a log Analytics workspace
Map the workspace to the azure virtual desktop environment
Task:
Create a log Analytics workspace
Enable diagnostics for the workspace
Step 1 → Set Up Log Analytics Workspace
Create a Log Analytics Workspace in your Azure portal if you haven't already.
Login Azure Portal » Search » Log Analytics Workspace » Create » Select Subscription » Resource Group » Name→ avd-monitoring-analytics » Region » Review & Create
Once validation passed » click on create
Step 2 → Enable diagnostics for the workspace
To Enable diagnostics for the workspace:
Azure portal » Search » Azure Virtual Desktop » Inside AVD » Click on Insights
Click on the Configure Workbook » Log Analytics workspace → select your created log analytics workspace from here.
Scroll Down » Configure Host pool » Deploy
Once Deployment completed » Refresh the page and you can see the newly added Log Analytics.
Scroll down » Click on Configure Workspace » Deploy
Once Deployment is done » Refresh the page » Click on Session Host Data Settings
Select Log Analytics Workspace »

Click on Add hosts to workspace » Deploy » Once Deployment done refresh the page » Scroll Down

Click on Configure Performance Counter » Apply Config
Once Configuration is done refresh the page » Scroll Down » Click on configure Events »
Deploy » Once Deployment Success » Refresh the page » Click on Configure Events again
The Log Analytics Configuration is now Done. !!
