Reducing Medicine Waste in Farming: A Practical Solution Built with React & Firebase
As agriculture continues to face challenges related to waste and inefficiency, one of the most pressing issues is the overbuying of medicines. Farmers often end up purchasing more than what they need, leading to excess stock that ultimately goes to waste. The goal of this project is to address that very problem by helping farmers calculate the exact number of medicine bottles they require based on their land size and the bottle size.
Features & Functionality:
User Authentication: Firebase Authentication allows users to securely log in and track their calculations.
Accurate Calculations: The app takes into account both the size of the land and the size of the medicine bottle to provide an exact number of bottles required.
History Storage: Firebase Firestore saves the calculation history, which means farmers can track their past purchases and better plan for the future.
Responsive Design: The UI is built with React and Tailwind CSS, ensuring it is mobile-friendly and easy to use.
Tech Stack:
Frontend: ReactJS for dynamic UI, Tailwind CSS for styling.
Backend: Firebase Firestore for real-time database storage and Firebase Authentication for user management.
Goal: Help farmers reduce waste, save money, and manage resources effectively.
This tool is just the beginning, and there are many more features planned to improve this experience. I believe it’s time we use technology to make farming more efficient and sustainable.
