On Keeping a Digital Garden

A traditional blog focuses on publishing well-researched and edited posts and relegates editing only for error fixing. However, by writing this blog as a Digital Garden, I improve these post over time and add and remove information as my thoughts and needs evolve. A Digital Garden is similar to a personal wiki or commonplace book, where content evolves as time goes on.

By using this writing method, I edit and improve articles, poems and notes as time goes on. Articles and posts are written iteratively, by first publishing a first version that includes enough information to be useful, and then further details are added as needed.

Keeping a blog as a Digital Garden has helped me keep publishing daily. This method works really well when an author like me writes without a formal editor, as it helps you keep publishing while still being open to recommendations and improvements from friends, family and general inspection. I expect to further improve this website with links between its different pages and posts, which will hopefully replace external links as most as possible.
