JIRA supports MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL and SQL server in the backend.
JIRA can be integrated with many other tools − Subversion, GIT, Clear case, Team Foundation Software, Mercury, Concurrent Version System and many more.
Uses of JIRA
JIRA is used in Bugs, Issues and Change Request Tracking.
JIRA can be used in Help desk, Support and Customer Services to create tickets and track the resolution and status of the created tickets.
JIRA is useful in Project Management, Task Tracking and Requirement Management.
JIRA is very useful in Workflow and Process management.
JIRA Board:
Jira provides different types of boards helping the software teams to manage and tracking of their work easily. Jira Boards is like a digital helping hand to make every process smooth and to the point ultimately helping the team to complete the project without making extra wastage of time. These boards help us to see which things are done and which things are yet to be done. Irrespective of the board you are using such as Scrum or Kanban they will help in making teamwork easier and work more Organized and transparent.
Jira Board is broadly classified into two types:

JIRA Issues and Issue Types

Status: The current state of the issue, such as “Open”, “In Progress”, “Resolved”, or “Closed”.
Assignee: The person responsible for working on the issue.
Reporter: The person who reported the issue.
Priority: The priority level assigned to the issue, such as “High”, “Medium”, or “Low”.
Labels: A way to categorize and label issues, making it easier to filter and search for related issues.
Components: A way to break down a larger issue into smaller components.

Due Date: The date by which the issue needs to be completed.
