HackFrost is a three-day online winter hackathon starting on 29th Nov 2024 and will end on 1st Dec 2024, through this event we aim to bring together industry professionals, tech enthusiasts, and innovators from around the globe. Whether new to tech or experienced, HackFrost offers a platform to build impactful projects, with workshops, networking opportunities, and prizes worth $10,000+.

Kestra is the sponsor for this hackathon, it is a Unified Orchestration Platform for scheduling and orchestration that simplifies complicated data pipelines and processes. Kestra gives developers the freedom to concentrate on creativity and execution rather than the complexities of infrastructure administration by providing a complete platform.

Hackathon Tips

Familiarize Yourself with Kestra: Before the hackathon starts, spend some time learning Kestra's basic features and capabilities.
Plan Your Data Flows Early: Design your data pipelines early in the hackathon. Outline which tasks need to be performed, in what order, and what dependencies exist between tasks.
Use Templates and Plugins: Leverage Kestra's templates and plugins to speed up development.
Document Your Work: Throughout the hackathon, keep detailed documentation of your data flows and the logic behind them.
Final Presentation: When preparing your final presentation, include details about how you used Kestra to facilitate data processing and orchestration.

Hackathon Project Ideas

Automating AI and Machine Learning Workflows: In this project you can make use of Kestra to handle tasks like gathering data, preparing it for analysis, and running different machine learning models to predict things like customer behavior, stock prices, or disease trends from past data.
Creating a Dynamic Content Recommendation System: This system suggests content (like articles or videos) to users based on what they're currently doing and their past preferences. In such projects, Kestra can manage the data about user actions and preferences. It processes this data through different steps like logging activities and categorizing users, which helps in offering real-time content suggestions.
Developing a Real-time Data Monitoring and Visualization Dashboard: Build a dashboard that shows live data from devices (like sensors) or apps, and helps users understand this data through charts or alerts.
