Powerful Mindset — An ongoing project

This article is basically a documentation for an ongoing journey of me trying to build and maintain a set of principles for a resilient and powerful Mindset.
I thought It might be helpful to you, so I posted it.
Principle 1: Aim Higher
Firstly, you should always dream big, if your dream is not big enough then what’s the meaning of it being a dream at all?
Second, As a rule of thumb, If you ever want to achieve something, Always aim higher.
Think of it like a dart board, If you’re already aiming exactly at the center you’re more likely to hit below it, or even below the whole board altogether; due to gravity.
Gravity in this case represents external factors that can negatively impact your efforts or outcomes.
Usually, In order to neutralize such factors, You have to aim higher, for both the goal and the effort exerted to get to it.
Principle 2: NEVER To Reject Yourself
I learned that my worst enemy is myself.
Many of the great opportunities I missed in the past were due to me consciously or unconsciously deciding I’m not worthy of it. I have rejected myself without even giving it a chance to try.
I have made the decision once and for all to never reject myself again from anything.
If I want it I’ll try to get it, I’ll either get what I want to or I’ll fail this time, learn in the process, and try again.
If anyone is going to reject you, It surely shouldn’t be you.
Principle 3: You Are Your Most Valuable Project
I see myself as an ongoing project. In fact, I believe you are the highest ROI (return on investment) project you will ever have.
Hence, It only makes sense to make this project of highest priority.
You shall invest in it, take care of it, and try really hard to make it a successful one.
Principle 4: Most Successful = Quickest To Adapt
“The Only Constant in Life Is Change” — Heraclitus
Looking back, I can clearly see that one common characteristic of the most successful people I know is their adaptability to change; They adapt quickly and move on, As opposed to what most people would do: whining, or fighting it, then eventually having to deal with it anyway.
Principle 5: You Are Not Done, Till You are Done
Me to me:
As I mentioned before, You should look at yourself as an ongoing project, there’s basically no end to that project.
Till your last day, you should try to be a little better than you were yesterday.
It might not be easy, it might not be linear improvement, you will probably fall, but you should never stop getting up and trying again till your last day on earth.
"If the Final Hour comes while you have a shoot of a plant in your hands and it is possible to plant it before the Hour comes, you should plant it” — Prophit Mohamed PBUH
In Arabic:
قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: “إن قامت الساعة وبيد أحدكم فسيلة فإن استطاع أن لا يقوم حتى يغرسها فليفعل”
Principle 6: Nothing Worthwhile Is Easy
If you intend in doing something great, It’ll take you time, dedication, and hard work to get there.
You have to think it through, understand why you want this, what will you have if you get it, what will you lose if you don’t, what will it cost you, and how will you get there?
After thinking it through and realizing with no doubt you actually want this, and setting a plan with milestones to how you’ll get there, All what’s left is Faith.
You have to trust the process. You have already invested in thinking it through, stop doubting yourself, stop procrastinating, and stick to the plan, it’ll eventually pay off.
Having key milestones along the way can help you stay motivated and ensure you’re on the right track.
Principle 7: Discipline Is A Superpower
In fact, In my honest opinion, If I was able to choose a superpower to have, I’d probably pick discipline.
I have a deep belief that if you have discipline, you can get pretty much anything else you want.
Again, It’s not easy, If it was, It wouldn’t be worthwhile as I mentioned before. But don’t you think superpower should have a cost?
Principle 8: Practice Makes Perfect
This one is a bit of an extension to the previous principle, But it’s very important, so I had to highlight it.
“Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard” — Tim Notke
If you’re an old anime fan such as myself, you can probably think of a couple characters that stick when I mention “Insane Drive” and “Commitment To Practice”. Netero from Hunter x Hunter, Saitama from One-Punch Man, Rock Lee from Naruto to name a few.
Let me assure you that in real life, There are people with no less drive and commitment to practice than the examples I just mentioned.
I was lucky to know a couple of them personally, And I assure you their commitment to practice paid off 100%.
Principle 9: You Shall Fall, But Never Stay Down
“If you don’t fail, you’re not even trying“ — Denzel Washington
It’s okay to be a little worried about failure. But, It is not okay for your fear of failure to hold you back from trying.
For me, To redeem myself from this curse I embraced rejection and failure as a possible outcome, probable perhaps. Since if I didn’t try, I have a 100% chance of not achieving whatever I want to achieve.
The fact that you’ll fail, perhaps not today or not at your current goal, but you will.
If you wouldn’t, it’s either you’re not dreaming big enough, or you’re not even trying.
Establishing this fact, The one single thing you should do after falling down is standing up again.
Start over, perhaps this time with more experience, better planning, better preparation, you will succeed.
So, Please, Do yourself a favor and NEVER EVER stay down for long.
Life has endless opportunities, And as long as you are still breathing, Game is not over yet.
— If you got this far, Thank you for your time.
I hope you find this helpful, I wish you all a better life.
