My Web Development Journey: From YouTube Tutorials to Building Dynamic Websites

When I first started learning web development, I turned to YouTube for guidance. I began by creating static clones of popular companies like Swingy and Facebook. These projects helped me grasp the basics of HTML and CSS, and I felt a sense of accomplishment seeing my designs come to life.

Taking the Leap to Learn Full-Stack Development

Eventually, I decided to move to Hyderabad with friend to join a full-stack web development course. This was a turning point in my journey, as I wanted to dive deeper into JavaScript and backend technologies.

My Struggles with JavaScript

JavaScript was a major hurdle for me in the beginning. I couldn’t write even the simplest code, like an onClick function. It was frustrating, but I didn’t give up. I turned back to YouTube tutorials, downloaded PDFs, and started reading everything I could about JavaScript.

It took months of consistent effort, but eventually, I began to understand the core concepts. I reached a point where, if I needed to implement a function, I could confidently decide which methods to use and how to approach the solution.

Creating My Own Notes

To make learning easier, I started creating my own notes. I used simple, easy-to-understand language, supported by images and drawings. These visual aids helped me break down complex concepts and understand what happens in the background when a function is executed.

Moving to React.js and Backend Development

Once I was confident with JavaScript, I moved on to React.js. This was an exciting phase because React opened up so many possibilities for building dynamic and interactive websites. Alongside React, I started learning backend development, which enabled me to create full-stack applications.

Projects I’m Proud Of

Today, I can build shopping websites, static portfolios, and dynamic websites. These projects not only showcase my skills but also serve as milestones in my journey. They remind me of how far I’ve come, from struggling with basic JavaScript to building complete full-stack applications.

Looking Ahead

Now, I’m actively looking for opportunities as a full-stack web developer. I’m excited to bring my passion, problem-solving skills, and creativity to the professional world. My journey so far has taught me that persistence is key and that with enough dedication, anything is possible.
