Reflections in the Pause Moment

I've come to understand something important about pausing with intention.

As developers, we should cultivate this skill from time to time. Often, we find ourselves in situations where our code isn't working, and we keep trying to troubleshoot the issue until we exhaust our options.

Try learning to pause with intention. It helps us begin to see things from new perspectives.

Imagine taking a break from your seat (after sitting for hours trying to solve that problem) and pretending to use the restroom.

There's a soothing calmness that suddenly hits your brain in that space; when you come out, ideas begin to flow freely, leaving you wondering how you didn't see it this way before.

Learning to pause can enhance our creativity through the questions we ask during that pause moment.

Now the interesting question is, when was the last time you took a pause moment?

This week, I, Ezekiel Elom, will learn to take a moment to pause and reflect. I wish for you to do the same.

Talk soon, Ezekiel Elom.
