Guiding Innovation: Pandit Dhamdhere’s Mentorship at ETHGlobal Bangkok

Meet Pandit Dhamdhere (X profile), a full-stack developer and mentor who has brought his expertise to over ten hackathons this year alone. During the ETHGlobal Bangkok hackathon in November 2024, Pandit played a pivotal role as a mentor, guiding participants through the complexities of building decentralized applications. Reflecting on his experience, Pandit shared, “As a mentor, you’re not just offering technical support—you’re showing participants how to brainstorm, navigate tools, and solve problems effectively to bring their ideas to life.”
Pandit highlighted the advantages of Rootstock’s ecosystem for developers, particularly its compatibility with Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) tools. “What I genuinely love about Rootstock is how it bridges Bitcoin’s security and scalability with the simplicity of EVM tools,” he said. He pointed out that features like the Starter File were instrumental for participants, especially beginners, helping them quickly get started with building smart contracts.
Pandit has one key piece of advice for anyone considering joining a Rootstock hackathon: “Have a clear goal for what you want to build. The clearer your vision, the easier it is to bring it to life.” His own experience as a mentor not only enriched the participants’ journeys but also deepened his connection with the Rootstock community.
Feeling inspired? Watch for future Rootstock hackathons to develop your ideas further with support from mentors like Pandit.
