Hey there, I'm Riddhika Kundu, welcoming all of you to my 2nd Blog during 12th Co-Learning camp By HackQuest. On this blog I will share by last 7 day’s experience and day by day learnings.

Experience

Participating in HackQuest’s Co-Learning Camp was a truly transformative experience.

The Gaia track, in particular, provided a deep dive into decentralized AI, equipping me with hands-on experience in blockchain, smart contracts, and AI models. Through interactive discussion call, townhall , coding sessions, and guided projects, I was able to bridge the gap between theory and practical application.

Beyond the learning aspect, the camp fostered a strong community-driven environment. I also connected with some amazing co-learners. Overall, the past week has been an incredible deep dive into advanced Web3 and AI concepts. Each day brought new insights, hands-on experience, and exciting challenges.

Day-to-Day Learning

Day 8: Understanding Gaia’s Decentralized AI Architecture [click here]

On Day 8, I explored Gaia’s decentralized AI architecture, learning how AI models are distributed across nodes, the role of blockchain in ensuring model integrity, and techniques to make decentralized AI scalable. This session highlighted the importance of decentralization in AI for transparency and security, reducing risks associated with centralized control.

Day 9: Smart Contracts for AI Governance [click here]

Day 9 focused on the governance of AI using smart contracts. I learned how these contracts automate AI decision-making, establish governance mechanisms, and ensure fairness in decentralized AI systems. Understanding the role of smart contracts in AI governance was crucial in grasping how Gaia ensures autonomy and trust in AI-driven processes.

Day 10: Federated Learning in Gaia [click here]

On Day 10, I delved into Federated Learning, a method that enables AI models to train collaboratively without sharing raw data. This privacy-preserving technique ensures that AI models improve while keeping user data secure. The session covered the working principles of federated learning, how Gaia integrates this approach, and its benefits for decentralized AI development.

Day 11: Exploring Interoperability in Gaia [click here]

Day 11 was all about interoperability, exploring how Gaia connects with other blockchain networks to enhance decentralized AI systems. I gained insights into cross-chain communication, how Gaia interacts with other Web3 ecosystems, and real-world applications of interoperable AI models. Interoperability is a key aspect of scaling decentralized AI, making it more accessible and efficient.

Day 12: Running AI Models on Gaia Nodes [click here]

On Day 12, I had a hands-on experience deploying AI models on Gaia nodes. I installed the necessary dependencies, uploaded and deployed an AI model, and ran inference in a decentralized environment. Seeing an AI model function in a decentralized setting was a major milestone, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical implementation.

Day 13: Token & Incentives in Gaia [click here]

Day 13 focused on Gaia’s token and incentive structures. I explored how token ensures fair rewards for contributors, the economic sustainability of decentralized AI ecosystems, and how incentives align with decentralization principles. Understanding the financial mechanisms behind Gaia’s model helped me appreciate how blockchain sustains collaborative AI development.

Day 14: Final Reflections & Future Roadmap [click here]

Finally, Day 14 was about reflecting on my journey and setting future goals. I revisited key learnings, planned ways to contribute to Gaia’s ecosystem, and explored advanced use cases for decentralized AI. This learning experience has been truly transformative, equipping me with the knowledge and skills to build secure, transparent, and decentralized AI solutions.

Conclusion

HackQuest’s Co-Learning Camp has been an eye-opening journey, covering everything from foundational Web3 concepts to advanced AI governance models. The Gaia track has strengthened my understanding of AI decentralization and inspired me to keep exploring and building in this space. I’m excited for what’s next and look forward to sharing more insights ! 🚀
