[Practices] Little you can do > nothing

In Arabic, we say: “ما لا يُدرك كلّه لا يُترك كلّه.”
Which translates to: "If the entirety of something cannot be attained, the entirety of it should not be abandoned."
A similar English idiom is: “Perfect is the enemy of good”
Some tasks -Such as studying, doing chores, etc..- can be daunting, boring, and never over with, but still essential to do.
For this kind of tasks, I deal with these by just doing the little I can do, and taking it easy on myself.
I tell myself that little by little can be big.
Every small action matters in the whole picture, Just don’t stress it!
All you need to do is:
Prioritize what’s on your plate correctly.
Do your best effort.
Take care of yourself (health, inner peace, and wellbeing..); cause nobody else will, and that’s fine, c'est la vie!
I find that when I’m being too strict on myself, pushing the limits in every aspect of my life, it never ends up well.
I usually end up dropping some important aspect in the process; Even though I see myself as someone with a decent self-awareness, It can sometimes -being optimistic here- be challenging to recover from that.
So, My dear friend, Just be kind to yourself and do the little you can do.
If it’s never enough, then you maybe you’re in the wrong medium. Change it, and you shall be fine.
