How to know if College is for you.

In this day and age, there are a lot of opportunities that present themselves. Back in the day, for most people, the choice was clear on if they should go to college or not. Now that a degree means almost nothing, how do we know if we need one? This topic is a little off our norm, but it is something put on our hearts.

There are some cases where a degree is great, where to further your degree it is almost necessary to have one. Examples of that would be becoming a professional engineer or working in health care, as well as a lot of STEM careers. Note I said a lot of stem and not all of stem.

Just because you want to go create a startup that creates websites does not mean you need to go to college to get a degree in computer science. There are so many resources online that you can learn from to not just match a degree but learn more, as those students are just using ChatGPT to code anyways.

So here is where we ask that question of if college is for you. The answer is maybe. That's not just for some of you but for all. Take a step back and truly think about where your life is going and how you are going to make a living. Are you just trying to dropship (not recommended) and going to college to please your parents, or is it that you have no idea what you want to do and are getting those gen eds out of the way? Just take a step back.

Lets ask three simple questions

  • What do I want to do

  • Is this really MY passion

  • How do I get to where I want to be

I am sure you have heard these questions your whole life but if you brush them off then you will be miserable. If your only goal is money then how are you gonna make it. If your goal is free time to spend with your family how are you gonna get that remote job. It all comes down to priorities.

If you are still lost head over to our insta (weacreation) and shoot us a message. We want to help you get to where you want to be.
