I recently took the HashiCorp Terraform Associate Exam(003) and managed to pass it! hence decided to share my experience on it.

This exam can be taken by any aspiring Cloud/Infra/DevOps/SRE Engineer who wants to manage Cloud Infra through Code , in this case the code is written in HCL(HashiCorp Configuration Language).

I would recommend that before giving this exam person should have at least 6 months experience in managing Infra as Code via Terraform. As you would get more out of this exam if you have prior experience rather than purely memorizing stuff to pass the exam.

NOTE: The exam has dedicated section about HCP which is HashiCorp Cloud Platform and what it offers out of box which Terraform Community edition wont example being Availability of using Policy as Code using Sentinel Feature , make sure to have a good look on it .

Below are some of the free and relevant link that can help you prepare for the exam .

But.. But… Remember Certifications are not be all end all , they can make your CV attractive only if you have practical knowledge!
