Winners expect things to be tough, losers quit when things get tough

Winners expect things to be tough, losers quit when things get tough.
This was my watch word when I embarked on this tech learning journey.
A little back story;
I had just concluded a course on Data literacy, the exams seemed tougher than what was taught. I sat with my laptop staring at the outline for the new course I was about to begin wondering what the content would unfold and thinking more on what the exams would be like.
It looked different from what I was used to (interpreting fashion styles/designs or even reviewing research papers) and utterly confusing.
Finding my way with Data and delving deeper into analytics has been my clear next step but right now, I felt out of place like a designer in a lab coat or a scientist in high heels.
I thought back to the first time I picked up a sewing needle. It hadn’t made sense then either. Every stitch had been uneven, the fabric uncooperative. But I had learned, one seam at a time. Fashion had taught me that design was just structured problem-solving. Public health had shown me that patterns in data could save lives. Piecing my thoughts together and thinking maybe, just maybe, this new step was simply another form of design.
I got a message from someone on my contact list, I had thought to ask to be a guide on this learning journey, asking if I needed an accountability partner.
I sighed, smiled and felt a rush of emotions. It was an immediate yes, because here I was at the verge of quitting before starting because the thought of giving up felt soothing.
Growth was uncomfortable, but it had never stopped me before.
And in that moment I was reminded that Growth actually demands the confusion, the struggle, the discomfort, frustration, stretching beyond what’s familiar and maybe a community of two 😆.
The path to success is rarely smooth, but that’s what makes it worthwhile 📌.
So let’s Keep going, keep learning, and keep pushing forward.😊
I intend to share more on my journey, therefore….
