Log 1 - Before The Beginning

Hello!!
My name is Araka Ebuka, and this is my attempt to document my journey as I venture into technology and finance.
Although I graduated with a degree in Mechatronics Engineering, my career path has been anything but conventional. I've gained a versatile range of experience, ranging from Finance, Operations, Tech and even Nightlife.
Over the past year, I focused more on the hospitality sector, managing and working with a few restaurants and hotels. I also had the opportunity to dive into operations management within the energy sector at a small power company.
This year, I have different goals and targets.
I aim to transition into full-time business consulting, moving away from working in a single organization. This shift will allow me to build a team and submit proposals to various companies and organizations, significantly increasing both my flexibility and revenue.
Additionally, I’m eager to gain experience within an International Oil Company (IOC). The energy sector is both fascinating and lucrative, and I’d love the chance to explore it further.
Over the course of the year, I intend to solidify my knowledge and expertise in the following:
Software Engineering
Investment Banking
Data Analytics
Cybersecurity
Machine Learning
I am also learning French, and over the course of the year, I intend to learn two more languages: Arabic and German.
Am I doing a lot??
Possibly. But time will tell how much I can accomplish or if I can stay focused.
This blog will be a personal journal for updates and career progression, and I intend to give weekly updates on my progress and challenges.
Additionally, I’ll be opening a Medium page where I’ll share articles related to business, finance, or tech. You can find the link here.
Also feel free to connect with me on Instagram and Twitter.
I hope that, one day, I can look back on this and see how far I've come from where I started.
Wish me luck!
