Greetings readers!! This is HackUnited speaking, and we have some exciting news! United Hacks is back with its 5th edition, and we can’t wait to see what you bring to the table! Mark your calendars because United Hacks V5 is happening from July 11 to July 13, 2025, open to everyone above the age of 13.

What is a Hackathon?

A hackathon is an event where tech enthusiasts, creatives, and problem-solvers come together to build something innovative in a limited time. Whether it’s a brand-new idea or an improvement on an existing concept, the goal is to create a working prototype that can be showcased. You don’t need to be an expert—just bring your passion and willingness to learn!

Who Can Participate?

Everyone! Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced developer, United Hacks V5 is designed to be beginner-friendly. If you ever feel stuck, mentors and fellow hackers will be available to assist you.

Tracks & Themes

Theme Track: The main theme will be revealed during the Opening Ceremony on July 11th at 7:00 PM EST.
General Track: If you prefer flexibility, explore diverse topics such as accessibility, mental health, sustainability, and more. The sky’s the limit!
Solo Track: Want to work alone? No problem! Showcase your individual skills and creativity.

Key Details

Team Size: Maximum of 4 members per team.
Duration: 41 hours of intense hacking and innovation.
Workshops: 10 engaging workshops led by industry professionals and our team.
Prizes: A massive $50,000 prize pool!
Time Zone: Based in Eastern Standard Time (EST).

Important Dates

Opening Ceremony: July 11th, 2025, at 7:00 PM EST
Submissions Due: July 13th, 2025, at 12:00 PM EST
Closing Ceremony: July 13th, 2025, at 8:30 PM EST

Submission Requirements

To participate and qualify, make sure to submit the following:

Public GitHub URL / Alternative Repository
Demo Video (2-5 minutes showcasing your project)
Written Explanation (via Devpost)
Optional (but helpful): Live demo link (e.g., Vercel / Netlify)

Rules to Remember

Your submission must be a NEW project! No pre-written code—everything must be built during the hackathon.
No cross-submissions. Your project must be unique to United Hacks V5.
One project per team. You can only contribute to one project for the duration of the event.
