My Coding Journey

Coding is essential in every sector. From watches to TVs, there is some form of coding involved. Realizing its importance, I began my coding journey at a very young age, during my high school years.

Yes, COVID helped me get here. I haven’t reached my dream yet, but the pandemic played a crucial role in shaping my path.

Before COVID, I had an interest in technology but never had the time to dive deep into it. Like many students, my schedule was packed with school, assignments, and extracurricular activities. However, the lockdowns changed everything. With schools shut down and more free time at home, I finally had the opportunity to explore something new. I chose coding.

During the pandemic, online learning became the norm, and I took full advantage of it. I started with basic programming, watching tutorials on YouTube and taking free courses on platforms like Coursera and Udemy. The more I learned, the more fascinated I became. The ability to create something from scratch using just a few lines of code amazed me.

One of my first projects was a simple calculator application, which I built using Python. Seeing my code come to life gave me a sense of accomplishment that I had never felt before. It motivated me to learn more advanced concepts, from web development to artificial intelligence.

The pandemic also introduced me to various online communities where I could interact with like-minded individuals. I joined coding forums, participated in hackathons, and collaborated with other programmers. This exposure helped me improve my skills and gave me the confidence to pursue bigger projects.

As my knowledge grew, so did my aspirations. I started working on projects like ‘ObjectEye,’ a live object detection application, and ‘Pixora,’ an album-sharing web app. These projects pushed me to learn new technologies, solve complex problems, and think creatively.

Looking back, COVID-19 was a turning point in my life. What initially seemed like a period of uncertainty turned into an opportunity for growth and discovery. Coding has become more than just a skill for me—it is a passion, a way of solving problems, and a path toward my dream of becoming an AI/ML engineer.

The journey is far from over. I am continuously learning, building, and improving. The road ahead is long, but one thing is certain—I will never stop coding. COVID may have been a challenge, but it also opened the doors to endless possibilities. And for that, I am grateful. Thanks to God almighty.
