AWS IAM (Identity and Access Management) is a service that helps you securely control access to AWS resources. It allows you to create and manage users, groups, roles, and permissions to enforce security best practices.

Key Features of AWS IAM

  • Users & Groups – Create individual users and organize them into groups for easier management.

  • Roles – Assign temporary permissions to AWS services or external identities (e.g., applications, third-party services).

  • Policies – Define fine-grained permissions using JSON-based policies to control what users and services can access.
