Break the Silence: Mandate Mental Health Education in Schools

Every three minutes, India loses a life to suicide. That’s 468 lives every day—a tragic reality that has given India the heartbreaking title of the suicide capital of the world. Behind each statistic is a family shattered by loss, a child, a parent, or a friend who felt unheard and unsupported.

Despite 150 million Indians needing mental health care, only 30 million receive it. The stigma, lack of awareness, and absence of early intervention leave millions fighting silent battles alone. This needs to change.

Why Mental Health Education?

We are urging the Supreme Court of India to make mental health education a mandatory subject in schools. Early intervention can:

Equip children with coping mechanisms to manage stress and emotions

Reduce crime rates, as 95% of crimes have links to untreated mental illnesses

Prevent suicides and build a generation that understands, supports, and nurtures mental well-being

How Can You Help?

We need 1 million signatures in 100 days to file a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in the Supreme Court. Your signature can:

✅ Strengthen the case for mandatory mental health education

✅ Break the stigma and create nationwide awareness

✅ Help shape a safer, happier, and healthier India

Act Now—Be the Change!

This isn’t just a petition; it’s a movement to save lives. Sign the petition today and share it with your friends and family. Together, we can ensure that no child suffers in silence and that mental health becomes a priority in India.
