Budget Friendly Smart-home NAS & HomeKit Integration! 🏠💾🔧

I wanted a low-cost smart-home NAS solution, so I set up a Raspberry Pi 4 running Open Media Vault (OMV), Docker, Portainer, Scrypted, and Homebridge—all in separate Docker containers.

🔹 OMV – Serves as a shared drive with a 3 or 4TB external HDD.

🔹 Scrypted – Streams my Unifi security cameras to HomeKit (works better for me than Homebridge).

🔹 Homebridge – Bridges all my other non-native HomeKit smart home devices.

Everything runs smoothly on a single Pi 4, and thanks to my custom DNS, Pi-Hole and WireGuard VPN, I can securely access it all from anywhere—limited of course by bandwidth and network conditions.

Anyone else have any projects you like with the Raspberry Pi? 💿👨‍💻🛠️
