Weeks 1-4 (First 30 Days)

Week 1: Understanding the Fedora Project & Setting Goals

  • Familiarize myself with the Fedora Project’s mission, values, and community structure

  • Explore Fedora’s social media presence and marketing strategies

  • Identify key focus areas: event coordination, Fedora Ready, and community engagement

  • Define clear objectives for marketing campaigns

Week 2: Research & Initial Strategy Development

  • Assess existing marketing efforts and gather data on current outreachy initiatives

  • Brainstorm content ideas and outline an initial content strategy

  • Determine content formats (e.g., videos, blog posts, social media posts)

  • Identify opportunities to repurpose and enhance existing content

Week 3: Content Creation & Fedora Ready Promotion

  • Begin creating and scheduling social media content

  • Develop content tailored for Fedora’s community and outreachy goals

  • Promote vendors supporting Fedora Ready devices

  • Start planning marketing campaigns for Fedora Ready partners

Week 4: Refinement & Preliminary Evaluation

  • Review engagement metrics from the first batch of content

  • Adjust content strategy based on early performance data

  • Finalize initial marketing plans for Fedora Ready vendors

  • Continue community engagement and social media outreach


Weeks 5-8 (Days 30-60)

Week 5: Expanding Content & Event Promotion

  • Continue generating and posting content on social media

  • Improve and repurpose existing content based on audience feedback

  • Develop promotional materials for upcoming events

  • Draft blog posts to build awareness about upcoming Fedora events

Week 6: Strengthening Fedora Ready Campaigns

  • Execute Fedora Ready vendor marketing strategies

  • Work on targeted content to highlight Fedora-supported services

  • Engage with the community to promote Fedora Ready initiatives

Week 7: Midpoint Performance Review

  • Analyze social media and outreachy performance from the past month

  • Identify areas of success and areas needing improvement

  • Adjust content strategy and campaign messaging based on insights

Week 8: Strategy Adjustments & Event Marketing

  • Continue refining Fedora Ready promotional efforts

  • Focus on engagement strategies for upcoming Fedora events

  • Prepare content schedules and campaigns for event weeks

Week 9: Continued Outreachy & Fedora Ready Marketing

  • Maintain and expand Fedora Ready marketing campaigns

  • Increase visibility for Fedora events through targeted content

Week 10: Performance Tracking & Event Support

  • Monitor social media engagement and campaign results

  • Publish event-related content and live updates where applicable

  • Adjust outreachy strategies based on real-time feedback

Week 11: Final Campaign Push & Reporting

  • Continue executing final stages of Fedora Ready and event campaigns

  • Gather data on the overall impact of outreachy initiatives

Week 12: Internship Wrap-Up & Final Presentation

  • Review analytics for all platforms and summarize key findings
