New Week, New Obsession: Here’s My Newest Addiction!

With ShuttlePay out in the wild, it’s time to step back and wait for feedback. But my brain never stops. New ideas and everyday problems keep popping up, demanding solutions.

This year, my partner and I have been pursuing different hobbies on weekends. With only one car at home, we’ve gotten better at time management and coordinating plans with friends.

The Calendar Struggle

Every year, we buy a $2.50 physical calendar to track our family schedule, but we rarely use it. Instead, we default to our phone calendars. Writing things down becomes a hassle (we only have one marker pen!), and it’s hard to see at a glance whose event is scheduled or what kind of event it is.

Lately, our schedules have been so packed that we barely have time to discuss plans with each other, let alone with friends. This has created communication gaps, sometimes, I just plan my own thing and go, which my partner isn’t a fan of. (“You never discuss things with me!”)

I get it, we need to fix this to keep our relationship healthy (and happy!).

This is what our calendar page looks like. Even we can’t tell whose event is whose. And don’t get me started on the handwriting!

Why Google Calendar Isn’t the Perfect Fix

I love Google Calendar’s color-coding for different events, but when syncing with my partner, it gets overwhelming. There are too many features, and we end up more confused than organized

As a minimalist, I prefer simple, fast apps. So this inspired me to start building a new mobile app!

Every project is going to be a challenge for me.

No learning = no fun

What I’ll Learn from This Project

  1. Using a Database – Storing and managing shared schedules efficiently.

  2. Syncing with Family Members – Keeping everyone on the same page without clutter.

Stay tuned for updates!

Launch my first mobile app on the Google Play store 3rd year student at Yoobee college with Bachelor's Degree in Software Development. I have an interest in tackling a wide range of programming challenges. I enjoy working on some project with React, JavaScript, and Typescript, and I've also learned C++ for the backend projects. During my learning period, I took some of the Cloud courses like AWS Cloud fundamental and Microsoft Azure AI to get an idea for these two cloud platforms. During my semester break, I created my first mobile application by using the Flutter framework which makes me understand Dart language. The main reason the app is born was because I wanted to solve my problem and create an easy UX/UI "NOTEPAD" compare to other mobile app around the store. My work mainly focus on Object-oriented programming (OOP) technique because I truly understand OOP programming code easy to maintain and organized. During my practice, I always maintain DRY (Don't repeat yourself) method in my work. I am also enjoy applied Agile methodology because I believe that divided project into smaller part able to get customer feedback immediately and make changes when needed. Done two official certification, which is AWS Cloud fundamental and Microsoft Azure Ai fundamental
