AI Ghibli trend is Weird!

Honestly, this whole Ghibli art generation thing that OpenAI's doing has me really uneasy. There are two big questions swirling in my head, and I can't seem to shake them. And just to be clear, I'm not against trends in general, or against OpenAI specifically. I'm not accusing anyone of anything. I just... I suspect things, and I'm genuinely concerned.

  1. First, how exactly did they train that model?

    • I mean, did they just scoop up everything Studio Ghibli's ever made? Because, let's be real, it's impossible to actually know what went into that final model. We're just left guessing. The only way companies like OpenAI can be truly transparent is by releasing the metadata, or even the data itself, which, let's face it, they're never going to do. And if they did scrape copyrighted material and use it, that's a straight-up DMCA violation. It feels like this whole AI thing is built on massive intellectual theft, and nobody's talking about it!
  2. But my biggest worry. What are they doing with all the photos people are uploading?

    • Seriously, they're handing over their best, most personal pictures to get a cute Ghibli makeover. Do they even realize what's happening to their data? I sure don't, which is why I'm not touching it with a ten-foot pole. It's like everyone's lost their minds, blindly jumping on this trend without a second thought for their privacy. Especially here in India, where our data laws are... well, let's just say they're not exactly bulletproof.

It's so weird, isn't it? If I walked up to someone and asked for their best photo, they'd look at me like I was a total creep. But they're perfectly happy to upload it to some AI art generator, not knowing what's going to happen to it! I just don't get it. I wish people would wake up and be a little more responsible about their data. This mindless trend participation needs to stop. I'm not trying to be negative, I just think we need to be more cautious.

This makes genuine craftsmanship even more precious. AI generated art is too uniform and kindof soulless. Real art is about the human presence and unique story woven into each handcrafted creation that AI simply can't replicate.
