Spacecoin, Quantum Computing, Blockchain, GPU Space Data Centers, and Decentralized Internet Create Awesome Synergy!

OK, Thomas, too many buzzwords!

Let’s break it down into simplicity.

SpaceCoin is a crypto coin that uses blockchain envisioning 12-24+ LEO satellites to create a worldwide, decentralized, high-trust, secure Internet.

The Internet needs to become quantum-proof and even more decentralized.

Blockchain systems need to cover the entire world, not just a few privileged countries.

The same could be said of advanced AI computation enablers like the Nvidia H100.

Quantum cryptography can use Quantum Key Distribution to detect hacking instantly - over the link when it happens.

How can we make all this critical infrastructure available worldwide?

My ‘Aha’ moment:

Hang on: Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) can work with satellites in space and can create a quantum-ready internet.

Why not combine five technology stacks? Spacecoin (Blockchain), GPU Computing, Decentralized Satellite Internet, Quantum Cryptography, and Quantum Computing?

Into one single modular umbrella framework?

My head nearly exploded with possible use-cases and applications instantly!

A Short Explanation of QKD and How It Secures Internet Communication

Quantum computing will be able to crack 1024-bit RSA within 10 years - some experts say 5 years will do.

Researchers in China have already cracked 50-bit RSA last year:

If the D-Wave quantum annealing computer can reach one million qubits - 2048-bit RSA is dead.

We need to address this issue before it happens - do not wait for if and when.

But don’t hold your breath - the current version (as of writing now) has 5,500 qubits only, as of the date of writing this article.

Quantum Key Distribution solves quantum hacking with quantum technology.

A quantum transmission is disturbed when hackers access the data in transit.

That access - also called measurement in quantum computing terms - changes the polarization of the photons being transmitted.

This means the receiver can check the polarization of the photons and automatically detect if it has been intercepted in transmission.

Hackers cannot break the system without being detected instantly.

Some experts say this means the Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) quantum protocol cannot be hacked.

I agree - provided the hardware at both ends is secure.

If both ends are in space and are satellites - well, that makes it extremely secure.

There are significant technological hurdles to overcome - but my job is to keep this article as short and concise as possible.

We could see quantum-proof internet available to the whole world.

Blockchain systems could finally run cross-border worldwide without fear of disruption.

The entire world could access the Internet with ease.

Deserts in Africa and remote regions in Mongolia could see similar access levels as every part of the USA.

Remote nations could gain access to Generative AI resources - and solar power could provide all the energy required for those AI GPUs.

GPU cooling would be easy, and pollution from AI centers would be a thing of the past.

I realize this hugely complicates the cost and infrastructure of the Spacecoin satellite node, but the potential gains are worth it.

True decentralization for the blockchain, HPC, AI computing, and the Internet would be achieved - finally.

Wealth would be democratized with every nation gathering a share of the Internet, Blockchain, and Generative AI revenue.

Perhaps, in the bulleted points above, you see lines of text.

I see multi-billion-dollar opportunities waiting to be snatched up by the right entrepreneurs with the grit and the guts to reach for the ultimate world-dominating quantum, crypto, blockchain, and Gen AI applications in space! The final frontier!

This (the space technology race) could be big.

Bigger than PayPal.

Bigger than Netflix.

Bigger than even Google!

And I do not say that lightly!

Technology Challenges - And a Tantalising Solution

However, the technological hurdles that need to be overcome are huge.

Transporting and reliably sending quantum transmissions from space to the Earth -

Or even satellite to satellite -

Is a huge challenge.

Putting AI data centers and blockchain verification nodes into space -

Is an even bigger challenge.

But my sci-fi imagination got into thinking, and into a very logical conclusion.

What if we could use quantum teleportation to transmit data instead of single-particle states?

For those who do not know, quantum teleportation can transmit quantum states over impossibly long distances almost instantaneously, using a classical communication channel as a verification process.

If multiple qubit states can be entangled, it is theoretically possible that with advanced calibration and control data, and improved decoherence time and resistance to environmental noise, a few bits of information could be transmitted over long distances efficiently, with a classical communication channel verification process.

Such an algorithm does not exist now for data packets.

Current quantum teleportation can only transmit single-particle states.

But what if we could discover an algorithm that could entangle multiple qubits?

This is the Holy Grail of quantum communication.

Multiple particle entanglement could be the beginning of true quantum teleportation.

With today’s technology, it is impossible.

But to achieve a truly quantum Internet, several such impossibilities must be overcome.

Blockchain Space Nodes and AI Space Data Centers

Companies like SpaceChain are already working on Blockchain in space.

According to industry research, AI space data centers are expected to be a multi-billion euro market by 2050.

Starlink already provides Internet through satellites.

While heavy payloads to space are not practical because of cost -

Nanotechnology and optical transmissions could decrease the payload for each satellite significantly.

Furthermore, one node carrying all these different technologies could be built in a modular fashion.

Autonomous robots could be built to perform maintenance and repairs in space.

It makes sense that all of these enabling technologies could be merged under one umbrella venture.

All countries that benefit could provide huge amounts in funding towards this effort.

Modular construction could test and verify one aspect of technology before launching the next.

Separate satellites could be used - but one system like AI could augment both quantum and blockchain, and double vice versa!

It could be hugely useful to create modular systems that carry all that different technology in one single system that can be decoupled into fully independent modules.

Blockchain is just the beginning.

AI Space Data Centers and worldwide AI HPC access are the natural expansion to this concept.

And the AI Space Data Center could use non-quantum Internet so that latency is not a problem!

I see 24+ satellites in LEO providing the entire world with technology that right now requires heavy investment locally.

Blockchain, GPUs, Crypto, DeFi, AI Compute, and Quantum-Proof Internet is something the entire world deserves.

Not just Silicon Valley.

And with the right guidance and government-backed funding -

Spacecoin could be the company that realizes this ambitious dream.

And then - the entire world is open to entrepreneurs.

And every country is economically free to write their own destiny.

There is so much to cover that this could easily become a 5000-word article - but for the sake of brevity, I need to conclude now.

Conclusion

In this conclusion, I could summarize the information above.

But my aim is to inspire you.

Here’s a picture of 2035 in the most optimistic case where all the technological challenges of installing technology in space are overcome and Spacecoin becomes a household name spoken in the same breath as Google, IBM, and Microsoft:

  1. Digital Entertainment is no longer passive. It involves thousands of people participating together in an AI-driven story uniquely influenced by the choices of the people watching and participating.

  2. Poverty is a thing of the past. Every nation has advanced technology, and robots have stopped pollution and created an ecologically sustainable world. Global warming has been reversed and brought to pre-2000 levels thanks to nano-robots that produce the right corrective chemicals and gases.

  3. We have digital nations that employ IoT at all levels of environmental change. The world is shaped by AI and controlled by humanity, including extreme weather and natural disasters.

  4. Sickness and materials shortage are a thing of the past. Global atomic printers and drug creation have revolutionized healthcare and medicine to the point where drugs are developed before the illness takes hold and materials science is completely automated.

  5. Technologists reign supreme. Those who build technology change the world, which has become one single digital nation, with friction-less cross-border transactions and one single economy.

  6. The Moon and Mars have been colonized, thanks to autonomous robots which operate in conditions humans cannot. These robots have been specially programmed to cooperate and not compete with humanity.

There is so much more that I could write, but for brevity, I stop here.

Spacecoin is the beginning of the space revolution.

With the right visionary leaders:

Spacecoin will be huge! And one of the first movers to really see what potential space holds for humanity.
